The Law Council of Australia (LCA) has updated its National Legal Profession Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Guidance Notes.
The LCA published the notes in mid-2024 as general guidance, before the passage of the AML/CTF Amendment Act 2024 (Cth).
The notes have been reformulated to provide guidance on money laundering, terrorism, proliferation financing, “designated services”, and reporting and notice obligations.
