Temporary subscriptions to the Virtual Legal Library (VLL) for eligible Bar Association of Queensland and Queensland Law Society members will expire on Wednesday 30 September.
Subscriptions to the library’s standard VLL service are not affected.
The temporary subscriptions were introduced in May to assist practitioners during the COVID-19 pandemic and included an extension of the VLL service to QLS full members from firms with between six and 10 practising certificates.
This extra benefit was extended to 31 July and again to 30 September.
Your law library (Supreme Court Library Queensland) and QLS have expressed their gratitude to the legal publishers who provided their content at no cost during this period of hardship, including CCH Australia and LexisNexis. Contributions by Federation Press and Oxford University Press are also acknowledged.
Registered users of the VLL service have been advised of the subscription period expiry by email, with the VLL service returning to pre-COVID-19 status next week from Thursday 1 October.
