WLSQ’s recent consultation with their network of service providers in South-East Queensland has highlighted that many women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds have misconceptions about the legal system. In response to the need for access to justice within these communities, WLSQ has produced a new myth-busting fact sheet for domestic and family violence survivors.
The fact sheet, available in six key languages: Mandarin, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Arabic, Russian and English provides essential information and referrals on:
- Domestic and family violence
- Parenting
- Divorce
- Property
Practitioners and firms can access the fact sheets on the WLSQ website. Hard copies of the fact sheets will be posted to services shortly.
