ASIC quarterly update focuses on virtual meetings and insolvency relief

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has released a snapshot of its activities for the quarter ending March 2021.

The report highlights its ‘no-action’ position for virtual company meetings and guidance for small business directors about insolvency reforms for small business, including how to access temporary restructuring relief.

The report also covers ASIC’s use of new regulatory tools such as the product intervention power, and the preparation for new tools introduced by recent law reforms.
