Public Health restrictions for access and contact visits for children changed from 5.24am on Wednesday in Queensland.
Previously a person was only permitted to leave their principal residence to meet court-ordered or court-directed access or contact arrangements. The Restrictions for Locked Down Areas (South-East Queensland) Direction No.4 paragraphs 6(q) and 6(r), which were made early on Wednesday morning, extended the permitted purposes to leave home to:
- to fulfil an obligation relating to shared parenting or child contact; or
- for children under 18 years who do not live in the same household as their biological parents or siblings or one of their parents or siblings, to continue existing arrangements for access to, and contact between, parents and children and siblings but not allowing access or contact with vulnerable groups or persons unless those persons are vaccinated persons.
