Six-month extension for approved developments

The Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, Steven Miles, has extended timeframes for undertaking approved developments by six months, in accordance with the Planning Act 2016 and the Economic Development Act 2012.

This means development approvals currently in effect, or those coming into effect between now and 30 September, will benefit from a further six months to undertake the approved development.

This extension does not apply to building development approvals for building works pursuant to s71 of the Building Act 1975.
