The Queensland Law Reform Commission (QLRC) and the University of Queensland’s Sustainable Minerals Institute are facilitating a lunchtime panel discussion on 12 July to launch the Review of Mining Lease Objections Processes.
A range of expert speakers will be part of the panel discussion, Ignite the Conversation.
The discussion will be facilitated by Fleur Kingham, the new Chair of the QLRC.
The State Government has asked the QLRC to review and make recommendations about the processes to decide contested applications for mining leases in Queensland.
