Panel talks parental leave over high tea

Over gourmet sandwiches and scones yesterday, a panel of Brisbane lawyers shared their experiences of returning to work after parental leave.

Garden restaurant Matriarch served high tea at its packed Newstead venue, where Queensland Law Society (QLS) teamed up with the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland (WLAQ) and LOD to present Returning to work post parental leave.

WLAQ media officer Peta Willoughby chaired the panel of Aurizon Legal Counsel Amy Leonard, FCB Workplace Law Partner Brittany Byrne, and Norton Rose Fulbright Special Counsel Bronwyn Hammond.

The lawyers spoke about their return from parental leave, what worked for them, what didn’t, and how to improve the situation for parents in legal workplaces.

We are keen to help members promote their events. Please send photos and details of your event to proctor@qls.com.au
