Future lawyers snapped up the opportunity to hear insights at a Women in Law breakfast in Maroochydore last Friday.
The University of the Sunshine Coast Student Law Association gathered four local professionals to share their legal journeys for its annual event, at Cotton Tree Beach Bar.
Sunshine Coast Law Association President Mala Heffernan, who is Director of L&H Injury Lawyers, was a guest speaker, along with barrister Dianna Worrell, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service solicitor Merinda Greenwood, and Crown Law lawyer Samantha Gray.
“With a room full of bright minds and ambitious future lawyers, it was an inspiring morning filled with tips for navigating the legal profession as a woman, achieving work life balance and managing burnout,” Mala said.
Dominique Moritz, Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) for the School of Law and Society at University of the Sunshine Coast, was MC for the breakfast.
