Federal Court presentation on corporations

Practitioners are invited to attend a presentation on Corporations Proceedings in the Federal Court with a welcome and introduction by Chief Justice Mortimer on 13 May.

The Federal Court of Australia presentation will be held simultaneously in the ceremonial court in the Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth registries, with live crosses between locations.

There will be presentations on the three entry points for corporate proceedings in court: Urgent Applications – the New Duty Judge Regime by Justice Elizabeth Cheeseman (Sydney); the Regular Corporations List by Justice Penny Neskovcin (Melbourne); and Dockets and Case Management by Justice Katrina Banks-Smith (Melbourne).

The session, from 5pm-6pm (AEST), will be held in Brisbane’s Court 1, level 7, with light refreshments after the presentations with local judges and registrars.
