Lawyer and author Paul Richards, who passed away last Thursday, will be laid to rest in Brisbane today.
Paul was well known for his advocacy for indigenous rights. He helped form the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Legal Service in 1972, and in 2019 penned the book Adventures with Agitators, about indigenous legal battles in Queensland.
He retired in 2015 after more than four decades in the law.
Paul’s funeral will be held today at 2pm, at Pinnaroo Chapel, 285 Graham Road, Bridgeman Downs.
