Queensland Courts and Tribunals received more than 40 responses for practitioner feedback on the implementation of digital signatures.
Several key themes were identified from the feedback including flexibility, accessibility and leveraging digital identity.
Guided by the valuable feedback, Queensland Courts and Tribunals is now defining the scope of work required to implement digital signatures.
The introduction of digital signatures will not entirely replace traditional (wet) signatures.
Queensland Courts and Tribunals will continue to accept paper-based and electronic documents to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their circumstances, have access to justice.
