The Downs and South West Queensland Law Association is hosting a dinner to welcome Her Honour Judge Kara Best to Toowoomba on Tuesday, 3 March.
Her Honour was appointed a judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2) in September last year.
Serving at the Brisbane registry, Judge Best was a founding partner of Best Wilson Buckley Family Law.
In October 2021, she was appointed as a Senior Judicial Registrar in the newly amalgamated Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
Judge Best was also a finalist in the Regional Woman of The Year Award at the 2021 Women Lawyers Association of Queensland Awards.
Tickets include a three-course meal and a selection of wine.
