The State Government has extended the deadline for applications to form an Independent Ministerial Advisory Council (IMAC), which will advise ministers on crime-related issues, justice system reform and victim support.
IMAC will be supported by a new Justice Reform Office and will have regular opportunities to meet ministers and senior justice officials through the Justice Reform Committee.
Victims of crime, expert practitioners, and representatives from the legal sector, peak advocacy bodies, and First Nations groups are encouraged to apply.
Application will now be open until 5pm on Friday, 27 October 2023. Visit www.justice.qld.gov.au/imac
