The Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS) has released an online survey for family law system professionals to inform its review of the Family Relationship Services Program (FRSP).
The Law Council of Australia encourages those practising in family law to participate in the survey which closes on 1 January 2024.
The FRSP was established in the mid 2000s to fund services that support separating/separated families. In September 2023, the Attorney-General appointed Graeme Head AO to lead the FRSP review.
AIFS was commissioned by the Attorney-General’s Department to undertake research to support the review, which will identify how the program can best meet the needs of the community now and into the future.
The review will include consultation with stakeholders and inform future government decisions on the program and its objectives.
