Webinars for new electronic wills lodgement

Queensland Court and Tribunals will host a series of webinars up until late November detailing the new electronic lodgement service for wills and estates.

Supreme Court registries in Queensland will soon have a new way to receive documents electronically, expanding on the existing practice in Brisbane Supreme Court since 2021.

The new wills and estates system on the Queensland Courts and Tribunals Online Services Portal will replace the existing application, Objective Connect.

The new system will enable legal practitioners to lodge applications, receive requisitions, receive filed documents and track the status through the application life cycle. The original will is still required to be provided to the court registry via counter or post.

From Thursday, 31 October, the short webinars will present the functionality of the new online Wills and Estates system.

The webinars will be hosted via Microsoft Teams and all Queensland Law Society members are welcome to attend and consider including their firm’s paralegals and administrators.
