QLRC seeks input for strangulation review

The Queensland Law Reform Commission (QLRC) is seeking input for a review of the offence of choking, suffocation or strangulation in a domestic setting.

The review will be launched with a live webinar panel discussion and Q&A later this month, in partnership with the Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

QLRC chair Fleur Kingham will lead the conversation, which will help shape the review of Section 315A of the Queensland Criminal Code.
