Practitioners from around the state have snapped up the opportunity for “SeaPD points” at Hamilton Island this week.
North Queensland Law Association’s (NQLA) annual conference kicks off today, with a range of speakers to present across three days in commercial, family law, and litigation and advocacy streams.
NQLA President Dannielle Woodward said the conference, which sold out last week, was a flagship event that brought together the region’s legal professionals for education, networking and celebration.
Danielle said after growing support for a tropical island getaway, the NQLA committee had worked tirelessly to deliver a conference at one of Australia’s most beautiful locations.
“The 2025 NQLA conference program offers a range of thought-provoking and interesting sessions, with many high-calibre presenters,” she said.
Keynote speakers will be QLS President Genevieve Dee, Legal Services Commissioner Megan Mahon, and Executive Director of the Centre for Innovation at the College of Law Terri Mottershead.
Chief Justice Helen Bowskill heads the list of judicial officers to speak from the Supreme, District, Magistrates, and Federal Circuit and Family Courts.
