AUSTRAC is hosting a series of webinars to help Queensland Law Society members prepare for regulation under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (AML/CTF Act).
From 1 July 2026, businesses will have important AML/CTF obligations.
AUSTRAC, the AML/CTF regulator, will host the webinars on Microsoft Teams, which will run for 30-45 minutes.
The four webinars will educate firms on the fundamentals of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing obligations and provide the information to help meet new obligations.
The first webinar is an introduction to AUSTRAC and will be held on 15 July.
Other topics include an overview of AML/CTF obligations; money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation financing risks; and outsourcing.
Members can register now for the webinars.
